Immersive-Media Research Group is an interdisciplinary team of sociologists, computer scientists, artists, and experts in digital media and interactive experiences. Its research focuses on the development of content for the cultural industry and media, with particular attention to creative, artistic, expressive and aesthetic experience.
The dialogue between people and digital media — a central question in reflections on the impact of virtual and extended reality — is explored across multiple dimensions: technological, scientific, social, creative and educational.
Immersive-Media Research Group operates within the Visionary Media Lab, an advanced environment for experimentation and the production of creative projects, within the Politecnico di Torino.
